Big Moments from Big Love

Sometimes it's a burden being a fan of real quality television. It usually means the top shows on network TV leave you cold, reality shows mostly pass you by and you haven't seen a decent sitcom in years. Well this is why HBO exists! I know this comes off as something of a commercial for the channel but I am convinced without HBO, Showtime, FX and a few other smaller channels I would end up watching all my TV on DVDs.

So it is with no small amount of excitement that we once again welcome back the Henrickson family of Sandy, Utah into our living rooms this coming Sunday. Like Dexter, Mad Men, Breaking Bad and Entourage, Big Love combines 'sharp as a knife' writing with movie quality acting. With veterans like Bill Paxton, Harry Dean Stanton, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Chloe Sevigny alongside newer faces like Ginnifer Goodwin and Amanda Seyfried it's no wonder this show is such a critical and popular success. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say Big Love actually launched the careers of Goodwin and Seyfried both of whom have gone on to star in major motion pictures such as Mama Mia, Jennifer's Body, He's Just Not That Into You and A Single Man.
