This movie has just come to my attention and once again congrats if you live in NY or LA (I assume we all realize I am not talking about Louisiana!) because it opens in there on Friday and for the rest of the US July 10th in other select cities fortunately including Phoenix.According the the movies official site the film 'is a riveting, suspenseful portrait of the courage under fire of the military's unrecognized heroes: the technicians of a bomb squad who volunteer to challenge the odds and save lives doing one of the worlds most dangerous jobs.'
Set in today's Iraq the film has a strong cast including a couple of favorites of mine, Guy Pearce and Ralph Feinnes. From the looks of the trailer it is a film that is sure to get the blood pumping and will no doubt be one most guys will be adding to their summer movie list. The lead role of Staff Sgt William James played by Jeremy Renner looks particularly interesting and this could be the part Renner has been waiting for to become the big time actor I think he deserves to be ... he is very watchable indeed.
