Reuters is reporting that Twentieth Century Fox is giving up efforts to promote Baz Luhrmann's
Australia in the North American market due to such poor sales. After 5 weekends the US and Canadian market has returned just $44.3 million in 5 weekends.
"We were hoping to do more in the U.S., but it's tough. There's a lot of competition," said Bert Livingston, Fox's senior vice-president of domestic distribution.
