ER Finale

NBC have announced that March 12th will be the date that we say goodbye to everyone at Chicago County General's ER. In a special 2 hour series finale the curtains will close on NBC's longest running show after Law & Order.

Thus far season 15 has held up ER's tradition of quality and original writing which is surely no mean feat when you think just how many scenarios can possibly play out in one ER over 15 years! We have seen the development of characters and actors alike with great weekly performances from the likes of Bend it Like Beckham's Parminder Nagra as Dr Neela Rasgotra and Scott Grimes as Dr Archie Morris.

The heartstrings were tugged pretty early on in this final season when we said goodbye to the character of Dr Gregory Pratt played so well by Mekhi Phifer. We were also introduced to a new character when Angela Basset showed up to play the new head of the ER and memorably featured in the Dr Mark Greene flashback episode 'Heal Thyself'.

So as March approaches if you are an ER fan savor every show because when it's gone there won't be a medical drama on TV that gets close to what this show has achieved.
