Arthur Remake with Russel Brand

I read today that quite dreadful Russel Brand is developing a remake of the Dudley Moore classic Arthur.  Ugh ... isn't this just The Pink Panther all over again? The usually sane people at Empire Magazine seem to be actually excited about the prospect:

"Brand is currently meeting with prospective writers for the movie, which will be produced by Larry Brezner for Warner Bros. It’s all early days yet, but we’re pretty excited about this one, and not least because of the prospect of a jazzed-up remix of the wonderful Oscar-winning song, Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do). Altogether now:  “When you get caught between the moon and New York City…"

I think I may have to get used to this guy as it seems he will be around for a while and certainly we will see more of him in the upcoming Adam Sandler flick Bedtime Stories.

We have a word for people like Russel Brand in English slang and that's 'Prat' ... as displayed quite clearly by the photo below.
