Talking of the Matrix

One of my favorite discoveries in recent years was the anti-industrial meat farming site known as 'The Meatrix' created by Sustainable Table. This was a fantastically original way of turning movie characters into a protest against 'the man', the man this time being the companies that produce carbon monoxide meat, rbgh dairy products and do little to protect against the spread of mad cow disease.

The concept centers around Moopheus who hilariously spoofs Morpheus from The Matrix Trilogy taking Leo (not Neo!) the pig on a journey of understanding about factory farming.

What they're saying about The Meatrix:

CNN Headline News
"Fighting back in a way you might not expect…You don't want to miss it"

Adbusters
"The little film that did…The revolution will not be televised. It will be emailed”

Seattle Post Intelligencer
"The Meatrix achieves something we didn't think possible- a pretty funny expose on the evils of factory farming"
