Sanddance

The more humorous film goers of the world refer to the Maui Film Festival as 'Sanddance' which if you can get the considerable airfare and hotel together (hotel occupancy runs at 100% during the Festival) takes place June 17-21 2009. It is renowned as one of the more luxurious Festivals around the world with its headquarters sandwiched between The Four Seasons Resort Wailea and the Grand Resort Hotel & Spa!

The Festival  shows movies on both the beach and on well manicured golf courses in an effort to make it as unique a movie going experience as possible. In 2008 Peirce Brosnan, Virginia Madsen, Felicity Huffman and Dennis Quaid all showed up what might be one of the most beautiful settings to hold a Film Festival.
