HBO have just spent some significant $$$ for the rights to release the story of the Illinois Senators Presidential run. The documentary will be produced by Edward Norton's Class 5 Films who are looking at a theatrical distribution for the film.Norton got permission to get the cameras rolling on Obama's run back in 2006 and has been shooting footage ever since and will continue to do so up until his January inauguration.
When asked about his reasons for making the documentary Norton responded, "We believe this film will capture a tipping point in American history, when a new generation of leadership emerged and old prejudices were finally vaulted over".
It has the potential to be a fascinating inside look into one of the most effective and ultimately successful Presidential campaigns in modern history.
