Talk about getting caught up in the role, Jimmy Smits recently stabbed a stuntman with a real knife on the set of Dexter.Smits who is the latest star to join season 3 of my Showtime favorite naturally thought the knife was a fake but was unable to tell as the poor old stuntman was wrapped in Saran wrap and gagged for the scene (Dexter storylines are not for the faint hearted!).
I always liked Smits as Bobby Simone on my old favorite NYPD Blue so it will be interesting to see how he does in this new role. As tv.com amusingly put it, 'Mess with Smits, get the shank!'.
How droll.
