Oh dear.Seemingly the crop of new shows this fall aren't bringing TV executives the success they are looking for and so once again an old show from Britain is getting a US makeover. The original Absolutely Fabulous has a cult like following from its devoted fans who are surely aghast at the thought of a remake set in Los Angeles with a pair of boozy 40+ women trying to live up to the standard set by Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley. The BBC show launched way back when in 1992 and followed their success of French and Saunders and the mid eighties 'alternative comedy' show The Comic Strip Presents in which Saunders starred with her now husband Adrian Edmondson.
No dates as to when this joy will come to our screens!
