The poster from Oliver Stone's Platoon truly sums the movie, the war and the conflict felt by Charlie Sheen in the role of a young, naive volunteer infantryman. The poster shows the character Elias, played so well by the always excellent Willem Defoe, in one of the key moments from the movie. When you watch this again it's hard to believe that Charlie Sheen is now best known for Two and a Half Men (no I am not a fan of that show!).Oliver Stone continued to direct big movies with Wall Street, JFK, Nixon and the soon to be released W being the most noteworthy mentions. Platoon also has a stong supporting cast including a young Johnny Depp, Forest Whitaker, Scrub's own John C McGinley and Johnny Drama himself ... Kevin Dillon!
