The EMMYs are two weeks away and so I thought we would take a look at a few of the nominations (the ones we actually care about, I think we can skip over Outstanding Cinematography For Nonfiction Programming!) and pick out the best and worst of the bunch ...
Outstanding Comedy Series
30 Rock
The Office
Two And A Half Men
This is a hard one for me as I am a huge Curb' fan but also love 'Mr That's what she said' Michael Scott from The Office. Two and a Half Men? Yeah right.
Outstanding Drama Series
Boston Legal
Boston Legal
Damages
House
Lost
Mad Men
I would like Dexter to win but I have a feeling Mad Men will snatch it and by all accounts it may be well deserved. Still you just have to love Dexter ... David Fisher from Six Feet Under turned Serial Killer ... YES!!!
Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series
30 Rock - Tina Fey as Liz Lemon
Samantha Who? - Christina Applegate as Samantha Newly
The New Adventures Of Old Christine - Julie Louis-Dreyfus as Christine Campbell
Ugly Betty - America Ferrera as Betty Suarez
Weeds -Mary-Louise Parker as Nancy Botwin
Samantha Who? - Christina Applegate as Samantha Newly
The New Adventures Of Old Christine - Julie Louis-Dreyfus as Christine Campbell
Ugly Betty - America Ferrera as Betty Suarez
Weeds -Mary-Louise Parker as Nancy Botwin
It has to be Weeds, so original, so funny, plain and simple great TV and MLP is outstanding. JLD ... come on now ... give it up already!
Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series
Entourage - Jeremy Piven as Ari Gold
Entourage - Kevin Dillon as Johnny Drama
How I Met Your Mother - Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson
The Office - Rainn Wilson as Dwight Schrute
Two And A Half Men - Jon Cryer as Alan Harper
Well as much as I like Rainn Wilson I have to go for one of the Entourage boys, both Piven and Dillon are exceptional in their roles.
Post Emmys blog due on 9/22!
